From Record, choose Voice, Write (free-form text), or Manual entry to fill the fields yourself. Photo import is also available with Premium. Check exercises, completed results and any groups before saving.
No. There are four options: Voice (microphone), Write (AI-interpreted natural-language text), Photo (Premium-only image import), and Manual entry (select exercises and complete sets without AI parsing). All four feed your workout history; review the data before saving.
From Record, tap Manual entry, choose exercises from the catalog and fill in sets, loads, reps or durations on the Review workout screen. You can also create a group (circuit, superset, AMRAP, EMOM, etc.). Manual entry works without AI interpretation: no workout description is sent to a model for parsing.
With Premium, add a readable image in Photo mode. Grunty extracts workout information and shows a session for review. Check that numbers, units, movement names and results match what you did. Without Premium, tapping Photo opens the subscription screen.
Yes. Photo input requires an active Premium subscription, whether you take a new picture or import a screenshot from your gallery. On a free account, tapping Photo opens the Premium subscription page. You can still log workouts by voice or text, subject to your plan's usage limits.
Clearly state the plan and final outcome when they differ. Completed work belongs in recorded results; planned repetitions must not replace actual repetitions.
Automatic parsing can misread an exercise, unit, rep count or circuit format. The review screen lets you correct these details before they enter your history.
In your profile, the Weight and Distance settings control input and display units across most of the app. Data are stored in common metric units for analysis.
Yes. On Review workout, tap Continue workout to return to the recording screen without finalizing. You can dictate more exercises, type them or use manual entry, then review before finishing.
Before saving, open Review workout and set the workout date. Make sure the exercises and results correspond to that date. You can also log a past session using manual entry.
The app presents an introduction the first time a new account starts without recorded workouts. After the first saved workout, you may be offered a short training questionnaire to tailor certain reference values. These steps are tracked per account, not just per device.
Grunty is available on Google Play for Android. The iPhone version is coming soon; check the homepage download links for availability. Features may depend on your installed version.
