Strength training and sets

Should I state total weight or weight per dumbbell?

State what the weight represents. For a barbell, give the total load; for dumbbells, explicitly say 'per dumbbell' when the number refers to one dumbbell. Grunty tracks these conventions to avoid misleading comparisons.

Example wording

Dumbbell bench press, two 28 kg dumbbells, 10 reps.

Practical tip

Do not mix total and per-hand weights across sessions.
