Workout format matters as much as the exercises. For a circuit, state its rules: duration, intervals, rounds, order, rests and actual result. Workouts combining running with stations belong here too.
From Manual entry, add an exercise and use Create group on the review screen. Choose Superset, Circuit, Complex, EMOM, Tabata, For Time or AMRAP. Use Add exercise to group to include further movements without dictating.
Say 'AMRAP', give the time cap, movements and target per round, then state your result: full rounds plus any partial final round. Targets and completed work are stored separately.
After full rounds, specify the exercise where you stopped and how much you actually completed there. Earlier movements in that partial round count as completed; do not invent another full round.
Yes. The 'I didn't count my rounds' option saves the format and duration without inventing a result. The round count stays unknown; it is neither zero nor an automatic estimate.
State total duration, movements at each start and how many rounds you actually completed if known. EMOM means starts at regular intervals; it is not an AMRAP.
An EMOM normally starts every minute; E2MOM starts every two minutes. Grunty supports a start interval separate from total duration and labels this format E2MOM.
A circuit describes exercises performed in sequence, often for a fixed number of rounds. An AMRAP is time-limited, with the aim of completing as many rounds or reps as possible. The format changes how results should be interpreted.
State transitions between movements separately from recovery after each round. These durations belong to the circuit, not to an individual exercise, and can be edited on the group card.
State that the movements form a superset, including rounds and rest between them. In review, you can also group two adjacent movements. Shared recovery belongs to the group.
State the format, work and rest times, movements and rounds or reps as performed. A movement list without interval rules does not fully describe a timed protocol.
State that the workout is a fixed amount of work completed for time, then give your measured finish time. If you did not finish before the cap, say what you completed rather than marking the workout finished.
Say this is a 'complex', then list movements in order, their reps and the number of rounds. Grunty can display them as one Complex card rather than unrelated movements.
Use the movement arrows on the group in review. Recent versions also offer order editing from history for circuits, supersets, complexes, EMOM, Tabata and For Time.
Describe each run, station and measurement in the order performed. This applies to HYROX-style workouts, whether a complete simulation or a partial session. Grunty may ask whether the sequence should be treated as a running-and-stations workout.
